Many Chinese Apple owners believe this is a double-standard that is unfair to Chinese consumers.<\/p>\n<p>Local media reports that a representative from Apple's after-sales service department in China has expressed his sympathy to these consumers, and he has passed these complaints to his supervisors within the company.<\/p>\n<p>Apple had determined last month that certain lithium-ion batteries containing cells manufactured by Sony Corporation of Japan pose a safety risk that may result in overheating under rare circumstances.
