At a recent standing meeting presided by mayor Zhang Guangning, Guangzhou passed on principle a \"Guangzhou Municipal Tourism Rule\" which prescribes that travel agencies must compensate tourists for any loss incurred from shopping during a group trip.<\/p>\n
They must sign a written agreement with tourists covering the specific shops to be visited during their trips and compensate them once the goods bought from the specified shops have problems. The new rule also says that travel agencies should provide compensation when the travel contract can not be fulfilled due to the travel operators' fault.<\/p>\n
Regarding travel resource integration and development, the new rule puts forward a new system of having the operational rights of the state-owned public facilities transferred. It gives special attention to the utility of travel resources in the Pearl River Delta region, making detailed stipulations on the compiling and division of travel planning, the training of travel service staff and tour guides and the management of travel safety.<\/p>\n
The rule will be submitted to the CPC for a final review before it can be publicly released.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
