Retailing giant Carrefour has taken the lead in launching \"green\" payment aisles, allowing those consumers who are concerned with protecting the environment to pay first.<\/p>\n
Consumers who buy Carrefour's RMB3 shopping bag, which is said to be environment friendly, will be entitled to pay first without queuing in the long lin at the stores. However, this has not been well recieved by consumers because they think that the bags are too expensive, although Carrefour claims that it makes no profit from the bags.<\/p>\n
Despite all this, Carrefour says it will consider adopting other measures to popularize the use of these kind of eco-friendly shopping bags.<\/p>\n
The use of shopping bags in large supermarkets has been a great waste to the economy as well as a cause of environmental pollution.
