An American smoking tobacco paraphernalia company is ironically claiming Chinese counterfeits of its products can lead to safety issues.<\/p>\n
The company Ploom creates a brand of smoking vaporizers called Pax. Pax vaporizers gently heat tobacco, releasing full flavor and nicotine from tobacco with no smoke or secondhand smoke. The company claims certain counterfeit Pax contain plastic materials which are not stable at operating temperature. Ploom suggests that any consumers who have purchased counterfeit Pax discontinue their use immediately.<\/p>\n
Ploom says it has made investigations to locate manufacturers of counterfeit products and then initiated legal actions in China to stop the manufacture and sales of counterfeit products. The company says it has filed a complaint before the Shenzhen Market Supervision Administration, which inspected Shenzhen Chiamey Technology Company Ltd. on December 20, 2013, and seized and destroyed counterfeit products Shenzhen MSA now is making further investigations to the case based on the findings in the inspection of Chiamey.<\/p>\n
