Medical Services International Inc says starting August 10, 2005, it will begin a significant Public Relations program in Hong Kong targeting the retail user of the VScan HIV test kit as well as the business and health care communities.
The VScan HIV test kit is being carried on a retail basis in Watson Pharmaceutical outlets. This program is designed to target the end user of the VScan HIV test kit as well as the business and healthcare communities. This program will also let the public know that the VScan test kits can be purchased at Watsons.
The program is a joint promotion with a local charity organization AIDS CARE, who have done their own independent testing of the VScan HIV test kit and found it to be accurate, easy to use and cost effective.
AIDS CARE has agreed to put on promotions related to the VScan HIV test kit throughout Hong Kong and selected surrounding districts. They will also be meeting with physician groups in Hong Kong to let them know that the kit is available for general use.
This program is the first time that the VScan HIV rapid test kit has been advertised as available to the general public through retail outlets. It is felt that this program will be very instrumental in letting the public know that there is an HIV test kit that can be sold on a retail level to the general public. The VScan HIV test kit is the only test kit that has been approved for retail sales in Hong Kong and China.
The VScan rapid test kit is a single use, disposable, accurate, cost-effective, easy-to-use test for the screening of HIV 1&2, Hepatitis B&C, Tuberculosis (TB), Dengue Fever, West Nile, Syphilis, Malaria and Prostate Cancer. The kits cannot be sold in Canada.
