Linkwell says its 90% owned subsidiary Shanghai Likang Disinfectant Company received approval from China's Ministry of Public Health for its new series of air disinfecting devices to prevent the spread of airborne viruses such as bird flu virus and human influenza virus.

In addition, Likang has received approval from the Shanghai Municipal Food and Drug Supervision Administration for sale of these devices in hospitals.

Airborne viruses often spread among humans through heating and air conditioning systems. In order to prevent the spread of such airborne viruses, air disinfection in air conditioning systems is a critical measure. Likang's "Lvshaxing" series of air sterilizers were specifically designed to prevent the spread of airborne viruses through ventilation systems.

Linkwell's Chairman and CEO Xuelian Bian stated, "We are very excited about the potential of this new series of air disinfecting devices. Our new disinfecting devices could be used extensively in the heating and air conditioning systems of residential buildings, office buildings, restaurants, and hospitals. The Chinese government recently announced that it will spend $1 billion to fight against a bird-flu pandemic, and we believe the Chinese markets provide vast demand for these new products."
