75% recently received pay increases averaging 11%; and 63% received performance-based bonuses averaging US$1,936.
ESM-China publisher Mark Saunderson said: "China's US$373 billion electronics/IT market has a growing demand for capable managers. Companies are improving their compensation packages and offering more opportunities for career growth to attract and keep managerial talent."
Respondents are typically 30 years old and work 47 hours a week. 27% work in consumer electronics, 17% in communications, 15% in electronic components and 9% in computer systems and peripherals.
In evaluating new employment opportunities, managers rated total cash income the most important factor with a rating of 4.47 on a five-point scale.
