Le Meridien Cyberport Hotel will join hands with "Operation Santa Claus" to channel the funds raised to a number of Hong Kong charities and foundations.
Commencing December 2005 until the middle of January 2006, HK$5 will be added to each hotel guest's food and beverage bill, and HK$25 will be added to every room bill. "Guests will be requested to participate in this charity before the amount is included in their bill. We hope to receive an over-whelming response during this festive season." Said Kenneth Sorensen, General Manager for Le Meridien Cyberport Hong Kong.
To boost this gift-giving, all employees at Le Meridien Cyberport will be wearing a Santa hat to further encourage guests to participate.
"Employees of the hotel are also encouraged to participate in this activity, to help the less fortunate." added Mr. Kenneth Sorensen.
The hotel plans to help the following groups: Hong Kong Paediatric Rheumatism Association, Children's Heart Foundation, Senior Citizen Home Safety Association, Integrated Mental Health Service Unit of Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service, Fu Hong Society, Arts with the Disable Association Hong Kong, Hong Kong Federation of the Blind, Hans Andersen Club, Hong Kong SKHK St. Christopher's Home, Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation, and St. James' Settlement's People's Food Bank.
