New Tax Exemptions May Aid China's Orphanages

    Local media report that orphanages and agencies that deal with orphaned children will start receiving better tax benefits.

    Donors to charities might also be able to soon realize preferential tax policies.

    China's Vice Minister of Civil Affairs Li Liguo says that more orphanages should be built in the coming years and admitted that only through better policies could corporations be encouraged to donate funds.

    Li said that tax exemption policies will soon be added as incentives for donors.
