Companies Prepare To Discuss CSR In Asia

The Corporate Responsibility in Asia Conference 2006 is preparing for a large turnout on February 22-23 in Hong Kong.

Companies and organizations like Starbucks, Save The Children, Shell, IKEA, The Body Shop, BEC, Unilever, Nokia, and Bayer will send representatives to the conference.

Attendees are coming from China, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Australia, Bangladesh, Philippines, India, Nepal, South Korea and some from as far away as the United States and Europe to attend this important event on Corporate Responsibility.

On February the 22nd the conference will be opened by the Director General of Asian Development Bank's Private Sector Operations Department, Robert M. Bestani which will lead straight into the opening discussion on Accountability and transparency: Is Asian corporate governance improving?

The programme features expert speakers from leading organisations and in the afternoon 'off-the-record' discussion groups, companies and civil society groups will also discuss how firms can get to grips with some of the most difficult issues facing responsible business in Asia.
