In order to offer more choices to consumers, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) will further improve the air ticket pricing mechanisms under the guidance of the government.
According to Gao Hongfeng, deputy director of CAAC, the air ticket pricing reform is quite complicated now that it involves the interests of many different parties.
Regarding airport landing and departure fees, Gao says that CAAC is going to control and manage the fee levels of the major businesses, but will allow the fees of the minor businesses fluctuate with the market.
Gao says that the fees for international and domestic lines will gradually be the same in the future.
