Hainan Travel Agency Punished For Bribery

A Hainan travel agency has been punished for collecting money from restuarants and shopping centers in exchange for bringing unsuspecting tour groups to those locations that paid.
Hainan Guanguang Jiaqi Travel Agency Company has been fined RMB150,000 and the money it extorted from tour sites has been confiscated by the Department of Industry and Commerce.
The travel agency was found to have accepted bribes totaling RMB17,362, of which RMB3000 was from Sanya Haiyu Pearl Company, RMB6000 from Sanya Taixin Seafood Restaurant, RMB2000 from Wanning Xinglong Hualong Coffee Factory, RMB6124 from Sanya Shiji Changyuan Crystal Culture Company and RMB220 from other unknown sources.
