China Unicom has announced in Beijing that starting this year it will handle customer service complaints for its co-branded mobile phones.
Previously, complaints were handled by the mobile phone manufacturer with whom China Unicom partnered to develop and sell the phones.
Users who buy mobile phones with the logos of both China Unicom and the manufacturer can lodge a complaint with China Unicom if the manufacturer refuses to solve the quality problem.
The joint brands that China Unicom is running include "World Wind", "Xuan Ji" and "Ru Yi Mobile Phone".
