A new declaration jointly issued by China's Ministry of Supervision, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and the State Administration of Work Safety aims at better cohesion among different government agencies when fighting government corruption.
The document stresses increased cooperation among Chinese administrations and procuratorates in future criminal investigations of negligent government officials who have caused losses of life and property
It stipulates that investigation groups which are organized or authorized by the State Council are obliged to invite the Supreme People's Procuratorate to join the team.
Xinhua reports that probe groups must hand over relevant evidence and materials to the relevant procuratorate members promptly once criminal cases involving negligence officials are spotted, according to the provision.
