China Deepens Cooperation With Brazil

Xinhua reports that the China-Brazil High-Level Coordination and Cooperation Committee was held last weekend with visiting Brazilian Vice President Jose Alencar.

The Chinese government attaches great importance to its relations with Brazil and the consolidation and deepening of the bilateral strategic partnership are in the fundamental interests of the people of both countries, said Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi said.

The meeting was held to develop a strategic partnership based on mutual trust, equality and reciprocity.

Alencar said China and Brazil share common points in many fields and Brazil hopes to further expand its cooperation with China. To strengthen cooperation between the two developing countries will be conducive to world prosperity and stability.

Both sides also decided to carry out cooperation in such fields as politics, economy, trade, technology, aviation and aerospace, agriculture, culture, energy and education, and to continue reinforce and deepen China-Brazil strategic partnership and promote bilateral reciprocal cooperation.
