MII Targets Technology Industry Bribery

China's Ministry of Information Industry (MII) has has put forward detailed measures in its campaign against business bribery in the technology and information industry sector.
MII says it has set up a special work team to be responsible for the task of uncovering bribery in the sector.
According to this team, they will focus on project biddings, material outsourcing, business operations, and property transactions. They will concentrate on finding the weaknesses and loopholes in the businesses and regulations that may lead to bribery.
The six basic telecom operators China Telecom, China Mobile, China Netcom, China Unicom, China Tietong and China Railcom as well as concerned telecom equipment manufacturers, value-added service providers and the related associations are included in the campaign.
