China's Qinghai Forestry Bureau has initiated a special campaign this spring to protect the endangered Tibetan Antelope.
Forest police have entered deep into the Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve and Kekexili Nature Reserve where the Tibetan Antelope reside to crackdown of illegal hunting of Tibetan Antelope.
The police will also check the agricultural trade markets for illegal buying and selling of the animal.
Tibetan Antelope have become endangered in recent years as a result of poaching. This situation has changed a little since it was picked as one of the Mascots of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Now the animal is drawing more attention around the world.
The campaign will continue until the Qinghai Forestry Bureau says it is assured that the number of Tibetan Antelope have regained numbers to not be considered endangered anymore.
