The Beijing Municipal Copyright Department, Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Rights Department, Shijingshan District Government and more than 80 mobile phone game developers are working together to eliminate mobile phone game piracy.

The group says they will take a series of actions to cleanse the mobile phone game market. Particularly, they will work on stopping websites that have not properly registered or have been involved in spreading false information from serving wireless games.

The group will also focus on Internet service providers offering illegal services and manufacturers and developers who provide tools for pirates.

So far, the group has identified about 30 websites and 30 mobile phone WAP sites that contain more than 10000 types of pirated games. The group says they will now focus on enforcement by working with local law enforcement agencies.
