News

The local government pricing departments in Guangdong have checked the room rates of hotels in the province and found some of them do not abide by the relevant regulations in clearly displaying their room rates.

This includes the five-star Guangdong International Hotel and three-star Guangzhou Colorful Days Hotel. The two have been fined RMB5000 and RMB3000, respectively, for not posting their prices in a visible location.

The pricing department says it will continue the second phase of checking in the next two years and punish hotels those that do not follow the relevant rules in marking their prices.

The pricing department says it is doing so to maintain the public image of Guangzhou as an international business center.
