Global Sources turned over 150 cartons of products to Crossroads International as part of the China Sourcing Fairs Care & Share charity program.
Director of Crossroads International, Sally Begbie, said, "We are very thankful to Global Sources and its exhibitors for the Care & Share program. The products that exhibitors have donated will make a huge difference to people in need around the world."
The items are new samples donated by exhibitors following the Gifts & Home Products, Electronics & Components and Fashion Accessories Fairs held this April at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.
The Global Sources program collects product samples at the end of each China Sourcing Fair from participating exhibitors and re-distributes them to people in need through the non-profit organization Crossroads International.
Global Sources Chairman and CEO, Merle A. Hinrichs, said: "The generosity of our exhibitors that participated in the Care & Share program is commendable. We expect more suppliers to embrace this program in the October China Sourcing Fairs, as more companies realize the positive difference their efforts make to the lives of people in need."
More than 50 exhibitors participated. Products donated range from household electronics, computer goods, socks, handbags, sports bags, sanitaryware, refrigerators, stainless steel houseware, and toys. A complete list of donors is available at
Crossroads International will distribute these to needy people affected by natural disasters, conflict and in economically-depressed communities.
