With the launch of new software on its official website, the web-based "Online Watch Room" of each branch of Zhejiang Provincial Government will soon be open to the public.
Managed by personnel from 62 government departments which are directly under the management of Zhejiang Provincial Government, the purpose of this "Online Watch Room" is to answer questions raised by citizens.
Jiang Ruzhong, deputy director of the information center of Zhejiang Government, says that after the opening of this system, there will be special personnel on duty online to answer questions during normal business hours. Citizens can also leave messages after work hours and staff will answer them within a few days.
Jiang says that the online area not only provides convenient channels to solve the public's problems, but also saves administrative costs and provides new ways of knowing about the situations around the province.
