More than 2300 college graduates from over ten institutions of higher learning across China will go to rural areas in Hubei Province this year to begin three years of teaching.
A principal from the Department of Education in Hubei says that the number of college students who participated in the rural teaching program doubled from last year. This will benefit 360,000 students in the rural areas.
These college graduates will be paid each month by the national government. Hubei government will also offer them preferential policies and pay them RMB5000 each year as a bonus.
