Jiang Zuojun, undersecretary of China's Ministry of Health, has disclosed that starting next year the government will offer subsidies to community health services in the middle and western parts of the country.
Depending on conditions of different communities, each patient will receive between RMB3 to RMB4 as a health subsidy. Jiang also says that Central Government will support the construction of new facilities and the training of personnel at community health services.
Currently, there are over 3400 small community health checkup centers and 12000 community medical centers in China.
