New China Life Insurance has decided to donate RMB5 million to Huining, Gansu Province to help people there build water vaults.
This year is the 10th anniversary of NCI and the RMB5 million had been planned as part of the celebration. However, after hearing that people in Huining suffered from drought, NCI decided to donate these funds to build more water vaults for them. The employees in NCI also contributed RMB2 million.
In addition, NCI also decided to donate RMB1 from each of its insurance policies into a special fund for building the water vault. It is estimated that the total contribution of NCI to Huining will reach RMB10 million in the next two years, which can be used to build 10000 water vaults.
