The latest statistics released by the Consumer Protection Commission of Shanghai show that communications and computer products were still among the top complaints in each district of the city in August.
A representative from Pudong New District Consumer Protection Commission says that complaints about mobile phones are increasing in proportion to the speed of their technological innovation and quality problems such as automatic shutdown, cacophony and short battery life have become major disturbances for most consumers.
Likewise, home decoration is another major cause of complaints. In August, the complaints about home decoration companies increased by 31.7% compared with the same period of last year.
