China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Ministry of Health have declared that the content of chrome and neodymium in the SK-II cosmetics can do little harm to customers if the products are used normally.

With that stamp of approval, Proctor & Gamble has announced the resumption of SK-II sales in China.

The statement by AQSIQ and the Ministry of Health shows that during the production of cosmetics, small amounts of chrome and neodymium may be brought into the cosmetics. P&G has confirmed that no chrome and neodymium had been added into the SK-II, and the elements found in the cosmetics are contained in the raw material. So far in China, there is no verified case that the cosmetics have done harm to customers' health because of the content of chrome and neodymium.

Liu Ling, PR manager from P&G, says that the company is now contacting retailers to discuss the details of resuming the distribution.
