New China Solar Photovoltaic Suntech Prize

Suntech Power announced today that Dr. Zhengrong Shi, Suntech's Chairman and CEO, has established the China Solar Photovoltaic Suntech Prize to honor engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs and government officials who have made substantial contributions to the development of China's PV industry.
"It is a personal honor to establish this prize that will recognize some of the important contributors to the photovoltaic field in China and their achievements," remarked Dr. Zhengrong Shi. "Solar power is a clean, renewable energy source and I hope this prize will help to promote its adoption throughout China."
Recipients of the China Solar Photovoltaic Suntech Prize will be announced every year at the Chinese Solar Photovoltaic Conference and Exhibition.
Dr. Shi awarded the first China Solar Photovoltaic Suntech Prizes to five Chinese PV experts at the opening ceremony of the 9th Chinese Solar Photovoltaic Conference and Exhibition on November 3, 2006.
