About 70 exhibitors have participated in Global Sources' China Sourcing Fairs Care & Share charity program, donating three truckloads of display samples to people in need.
Non-profit Crossroads International will distribute the items to people affected by natural disasters, conflict and in economically-depressed communities.
The display samples were donated by exhibitors following the October China Sourcing Fairs: Gifts & Home Products, Electronics & Components and Fashion Accessories held at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. Exhibitors donated products ranging from furniture and toys to healthcare products and consumer electronics.
Global Sources Chairman and CEO, Merle A. Hinrichs, said: "This year, even more companies participated in the Care & Share program. This very worthwhile cause not only helps the needy, but also saves exhibitors money as they don't have to ship samples back to their home offices."
