The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China has successfully hosted its Sixth Annual Charity Gala Dinner, themed "Touch an Orphan's Life", in Beijing.
The event was organised in partnership with China Charity Federation, EU-China Managers Association and Operation Blessing.
This year the event raised over RMB1.5 million, a considerable improvement over last year's total. This was a result of the European Chamber's continued policy of donating all post-expense profit directly to the beneficiary charities.
Recipients this year are Operation Blessing who provide life saving surgeries; Bethel House, a foster home for blind orphans, who receive care and are educated to lead independent lives; and Braille Without Borders, a Tibetan charity, who care for blind orphans and teach specialised Braille in their local language.

Respected Sir;
This is an orphan who has come from Afghanistan/Pakistan here to seek my missing family!
Long terms ago, my parents had a trip from China to Afghanistan, but regretefully in an insident, they past away (died) and left me behind! After growing up in the bosom of an Afghan family, when I heard my parrents were Chinese and I belong to a Chinese family, I started seeking to find the rest of my family!
After many effords and struggle, I could barely get myself here in China! But the some massive problems I am facing here is: 1st I don’t have any memoir and clue of them! 2nd I have problem of language dificulty! 3rd I don’t have any place here to stay and 4th I have no sufficiont money for seeking them!
I did not expect that the China would be so wide and extencive state indeed! But now I am really confused and totally destressed! On the other hand, I have also very less time and few money.
That’s why I have come to apeal from the graet respected EUCCC for it’s tender co-operation to help me in this regard if I could find my family. I am really poor of your assistens Sir!

My poor eyes looking forward to your sympathic and philonthropy assistence..
