KFC China First Light Foundation Provides Scholarships

The KFC China First Light Foundation has launched its fourth scholarship program in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
Ten underprivileged college students from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics have received financial aid of RMB5000 each year for their four-year study. The KFC Nanjing branch has already donated more than RMB1,090,000 to this fund.
First launched in 2003 in Nanjing, the KFC China First Light Foundation is designed to help Chinese students in need with their college education. KFC China is working with the China Youth Development Foundation The 10-year project will provide financial aid to students at approximately 40 colleges and universities in 15 cities including Tianjin, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Wuhan. In addition, KFC China will provide part-time jobs for those students who wish to support themselves and learn more about the world. So far, the foundation has supported 80 students from places like Nanjing University, Southeast University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and China University of Mining and Technology.
