Believing that Yantai Parkson is selling fake Dunhill brand merchandise, Dunhill has sued Yantai Parkson, asking the department store to pay RMB200,000 in compensation and make a clear apology on the issue.

In June 2006, staff of British Dunhill found that Yantai Parkson was selling merchandise including feather bags, belts and cufflinks with the Dunhill logo, but the goods were neither made by them nor authorized to be made by another party. Dunhill company believed that Yantai Parkson had violated their trademark right and caused a negative effect of their brand, and it made a complaint to Yantai Department of Industry and Commerce and had the goods confiscated.

In order to further protect their rights, Dunhill filed a lawsuit against Yantai Parkson and asked for the compensation.

A luxury goods provider for men, Dunhill caters to the needs of the discerning man, from formal and casual menswear, to handcrafted leather goods through to fine men's jewellery and timepieces.

Invested by Qingdao No. 1 Parkson Ltd, Yantai Parkson was opened at the end of 2004 as an affiliate of Malaysia Parkson.
