The Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce recently conducted a spot inspection on food sold at Beijing markets and found that 19 kinds of food were unqualified.
BAIC spot-checked an array of food including meat, seasoning, pickled vegetables, bee products, dried vegetables and bean products. The general situation was found to be good, but 19 kinds of food were found to be substandard, and most of them were about canned foods and soy-based sauces.
The main problem for the cans is that they integrate substandard colorants. The problem with soy is that it contains too little amino acid nitrogen, an important ingredient that shows the quality of the soy (usually the more the amino acid nitrogen, the better the soy) than required.
