The China National Bureau of Corruption Prevention has been formally unveiled in Beijing.
Ma Wen, the newly appointed minister of the Ministry of Supervision of China, will work as its director and Qu Wanxiang will be deputy director of this new national anti-corruption organization.
"The NBCP staff will collect and analyze information from sectors including banks, land use, medicine and telecommunications, and share it with other relevant departments," Qu told People's Daily during a press conference.
Gan Yisheng, secretary general of the Central Discipline Commission, told local media that after the establishment of this national organization, which was based on the UN Anti-corruption Convention and some useful practices of the international community, they would open regional corruption prevention institutions in the future.
