Shanghai Medical Organizations Punished For Cheating Consumers
Forty-nine medical service providers in Shanghai have reportedly been punished for cheat consumers.
Among them, 35 have been asked to rectify their businesses, 11 have been given a warning and three have had their business licenses revoked.
Some illegal clinics and medical institutions in Shanghai that have bad operations are said to often hire unemployed people to work as their cappers, which has seriously disturbed the market order and even delayed the treatment of the patients. For this reason, Shanghai Municipality Government decided to straighten out the medical market of hospitals and their surrounding areas.
Since April this year, led by Shanghai Municipal Health Department, concerned departments in Shanghai, including Shanghai's Department of Public Security, Department for Industry and Commerce, Drug Supervision Administration and Pricing each began to take their own roles in responding the municipal government's requirement for cleaning out the medical market.
