The Communist Youth League, Juvenile Job Committee and Civil Affairs Department in Hebei Province have jointly initiated a special campaign to save homeless children in Hebei.

Entitled "Winter Sunshine 2007", the 15-day event is designed as a part of Hebei's Youth Right Protection Month and aims to offer education, comfort and care to children and help them find their homes.

During the 15 days, each city in Hebei Province will establish a 24-hour response mechanism to receive feedback from the public. In the meantime, they will recruit a group of volunteers with a strong sense of social responsibility and volunteering spirit as well as rich experience in working with special children to coordinate with various local departments to seek homeless children and offer help to them.

The Communist Youth League in Hebei Province has told local media that they hope to explore a long-term mechanism for homeless children aid, protection and education.
