To enhance the charity spirit, the staff at Howard Johnson Plaza Shanghai took part in the 10th Shanghai Charity Run on December 9, 2007 to aid the raising of funds for cancer research and support for cancer patients and their families. Howard Bennett, vice president of Operations-China; Stephen J. Alexander, general manager at Howard Johnson Plaza Shanghai; and staff from the hotel participated.
