Chinese Sex Group Probed By Ministry Of Civil Affairs

China's Ministry of Civil Affairs says it will launch an investigation into possible illegal profits earned by the Chinese Sexology Association.

According to MCA's rules, social organizations such as Chinese Sexology Association must not participate in any profit-making activities. However, Chinese Sexology Association is reported by People's Daily to have made more than RMB200,000 in profit over the past three years by selling cooper signs marked with "CSA's Partners" to adult product and novelty manufacturers at the Guangzhou Sex Culture Festival. In addition, the organization reportedly could not provide a clear record as to how over one million yuan of its income has been spent.

Xu Tianmin, director of CSA, says that three auditing companies have come to check CSA's accounting books, and apart from MCA, the Ministry of Heath will also come to check CSA. Xu says that CSA has begun to straighten out its business after these mistakes occurred.
