Dazhong Recycles Used Mobile Phones
Chinese electronics retailer Dazhong announced plans to launch a 15-day campaign to recall used mobile phones at 10 of its stores from January 30.
More than 20 mobile phone manufacturers, including Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson, will participate in the activity in which Dazhong reclaims the old mobile phone for as much as 75% of the phone's original value. Nokia will receive back some of its products at 75% of the original price, Motorola up to 65% and Samsung and Sony Ericsson 60%.
Consumers can participate in the activity by showing their old mobile phones and their original invoices at ten stores designated by Dazhong around Beijing. They can use the cash coupon they receive in return for their old phone to buy a new mobile phone.
