Chinese Warned About Choosing Australia's Global College

China's Ministry of Education has published some reminders on its official websites, telling Chinese students and parents to be careful in choosing to study at Australia's Global College.

Global College, a private school located in downtown Sydney, Australia, is reported to have had its registration qualifications canceled for its professional education training courses and has been asked not to recruit any international students because of its infringement of the South Welsh Professional Education and Training Law.

Australia's Education, Employment and Work Relations Departments have intervened and said they will work with the Department of Immigration & Citizenship of Australia to arrange the more than 900 international students (half are said to be from China) who have been affected before April 30 by refund their tuition or transfer them to another school. The Chinese Embassy in Australia, Chinese Consulate in Sydney and the relevant department from China have also discussed with concerned departments in Australia for a proper solution of the issue.

China's Ministry of Education reminds Chinese students and parents not to choose to study at the school and agents offering study abroad services to stop cooperation with the school. The Ministry of Education reminds students of choosing schools with proven quality and sound reputation when they are planning their study abroad. The Ministry also suggests students and their parents to turn to its website and legal agents or foreign embassies in China for information when they plan to choose to study at a foreign school.
