Shanghai, China (March 15, 2010) /ChinaNewswire.com/ — From March 17th to 19th, 2010, Pudong Expo, the new modern exhibition centre, will welcome Gourmet World Shanghai 2010, at the heart of the business district of the economic capital of China.

This event, staged over three days, dedicated to gourmet catering and quality hotel services will bring together decision-makers and key players from the Asian region: chefs at gourmet restaurants, Food & Beverage managers for 4 and 5-star hotels and of major international chains, professionals of the gourmet catering and bakery-pastry industries, gourmet caterers, importers and distributors to the hotel and catering industries.

As part of the trade fair, more than 30 exhibitors from Europe and Asia will present an extensive range of products and services including the latest innovations in food products, wines, spirits and beverages, cafeteria, supplies and equipment, table art and linen, cooking and pastry schools.

On the culinary demonstrations area, top-end European and Asian Chefs will prepare in front the public the most innovative products proposed by the different exhibitors of the show, showing how to cook them and having them tasted by the public. This will be a unique opportunity to get "live" many ideas to create new, different and innovative starters, dishes and desserts.

Key names of the Asian and European cuisine will be cooking on stage, such as Fabrice Giraud from the Jade 36 Shangri-la Restaurant, Shanghai, Stefan Stiller and Bertrand Ducoroy ( Stiller's Restaurant, Shanghai), Ilhame Guerrah, pastry Chef for Shanghai Park Hyatt hotel, Emmanuel Souliere (Executive Chef, Hilton Hotel, Shanghai), Guillermo Trullas (El Willy Restaurant, Shanghai) and Bruno Stril, top-notch teaching Chef at Le Cordon Bleu.

The Bocuse d'Or Asia 2010 competition that will be held as part of the event will also offer a unique opportunity to meet prestigious chefs from 11 Asian countries and to witness their awe inspiring skills "live".
