Beijing, China (May 17, 2010) /ChinaNewswire.com/ — Kempinski Hotel announces that in line with the company's strategic plan, Kempinski Hotel Sanya Hainan Island in China will cease to be a Kempinski hotel and will exit the portfolio. Existing hotel reservations will remain at the same conditions as confirmed.

The termination of this Management agreement is the result of an amicable agreement we have reached with the Owners of this property, which we have managed since 2007. As of today, Kempinski manages ten properties in China, with 12 under construction.

Kempinski currently operates 61 hotels worldwide and has a further 58 hotels in development.
