More than 30 CEOs from China's leading companies including Focus Media and Suntech Power will gather in Hong Kong for the China CEO Program, launched jointly by the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, INSEAD and Columbia Business School, beginning May 9.

Cheung Kong GSB Dean Xiang Bing will launch the Hong Kong leg of this year's 4-city program with a seminar on how Chinese corporations can prepare to meet future competitive challenges. The China CEO Program will include four modules in Hong Kong, New York, Fontainebleau, and Beijing throughout 2007.

Attending CEOs from China's leading state-owned and private companies include Shi Zhengrong, CEO, Suntech Power, Tan Zhi, CEO, Focus Media, Sun Tongyu, General Manager, Taobao.com, and Ren Hongbin, President, China National Machinery Industry Corporation.

"By combining the resources and strengths of three leading educational institutions across Asia, Europe, and North America, we aim to impart a unique, global perspective to the participating CEOs and help Chinese entrepreneurs develop a keen sense of insight into a diverse multi-cultural, political and economic environment," said Cheung Kong GSB Dean Xiang.

One key strength of Cheung Kong GSB is its global leadership and insight on issues surrounding the seamless integration of China and Chinese corporations into the global economy. During the five-day Hong Kong module, CKGSB faculty will share their latest thinking on the globalization of Chinese companies and its ramifications for the world economy.
