China's State Environment Protection Administration has published the names of ten listed companies that have failed to pass the latest environmental review.

The ten companies are Hebei Weiyuan Biochemical Holding Co., Ltd.; Guangdong Wangxing Inorganic Dye Holding Co., Ltd.; Guangdong Taipai Group Holding Co., Ltd.; Shandong Chenming Paper Group; Gansu Qilianshan Cement Group Holding Co., Ltd.; Longyuan Construction Group Holding Co., Ltd.; China Coal Energy Company Limited; Sichuan Nitrocell Corporation; Guizhou Zijin Kuangye Co.; Ltd., and Anhui Hailuo Cement Company.

Since 2007, SEPA has been identifying companies that have not passed (or have been deferred) in the first round of review during its auditing of the listed companies. The main problems of these companies are said to be not implementing the relevant environmental rules, not replacing old equipment according to concerned stipulations, and emitting excessive pollutants. Eight of the companies have already reportedly completed their rectification as required, but their names have not been made available.
