Beijing Bausch & Lomb Stops Selling ReNu Contact Lens Solution

News

Beijing Bausch & Lomb has decided to stop selling the ReNu contact lens solution that is possibly causing a rash of cornea infections around the world.

China's State Food and Medicine Supervision Bureau and Beijing Bausch & Lomb say that customers who have already purchased the contact lens solution can change the goods at Beijing Bausch & Lomb Ltd.

On February 17, the Office of Health in Singapore released news that there were more cornea inflammation cases this year compared with the same period last year, and this situation is more serious with patients who had used ReNu contact lens solution.

Although there is no clear scientific proof showing that the increase of cases is related to the ReNu solution, Bausch & Lomb has stopped sales to show its responsibility for its customers.
