Organized by the Dalian Municipal Financial Bureau, Civil Administration Bureau and the Welfare Lottery Center, a community activity entitled "Welfare Lottery Aids Students, Students Participate In Social Practice" has been launched in Dalian.

The action pairs disadvantaged college students with volunteer programs so that the students can donate their time to help some of the charities that have assisted the students in raising money to go to school.

Many underprivileged students from colleges and universities including Dalian Maritime University, Dalian University of Foreign Languages, and Dalian University have signed up to participate. Most of these students have received government-funded financial assistance.

The primary activity for the students will be to offer free tutoring to children in poor, rural areas around Dalian.
