Huangshan Municipal Tourism Bureau says that starting next year 100 new tour guides will be licensed to offer services to travelers.

Huangshan currently has more than 2000 tour guides.

In order to regulate the tour guide teams, the Huangshan Municipal Tourism Bureau has also initiated incentive programs with Huangshan Scenic Spots Administration to help elevate the quality of the guides.

Only those tour guides who have passed an inspection, have not violated any rules, and have guided more than 30 tour groups are eligible to participate in the incentive program.

In addition, selected tour guides will be licensed to offer special value-added travel services and will be exempt from paying annual inspection fees.
