China Automobile Trading Co., Ltd has issued its corporate social responsibility report in Beijing, summarizing its efforts on social responsibility over the past 15 years.

Ding Hongxiang, general manager of CAT, said that economic responsibility is the foundation of survival, industrial responsibility is the way of development, and public responsibility is the symbol of being mature. Being a responsible corporate citizen is the commitment CAT made to the society, and the direct expression of its corporate social responsibility. With this in mind, CAT is making efforts to be an honorable automobile trade service company and a leading enterprise in China's importing automobile industry.

CAT says it has also participated in public service initiatives such as environmental protection and education. By May 2008, CAT has donated more than CNY6 million for public welfare around China.

CAT was formerly known as China Trading Center for Automobile Import, which was founded on May 19, 1995. In May 2004, it was recombined with China National Machinery Industry Corporation as a member of SINOMACH.
