The China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation has granted the first batch of small funds for the post-disaster psycho-social programs of five organizations including Gansu Wenxian Post-disaster Rebuilding and Poverty Alleviation and Development Promotion Council, and the Doujiangyan Mother's Home.

A kindergarten in Tiantai Town, Qionglai, Sichuan, which was a victim of the May 12, 2008 earthquake, has been officially re-opened as Wirtgen Tiantai Kindergarten with funding from the construction machinery company Wirtgen China.
