ZTE Pushes Chinese Innovation Into Latin America With Educational Deal

ZTE Corporation will open an innovation and training center in cooperation with the Universidad de Chile.

As part of the agreement, ZTE Chile will donate 4G equipment to the center and the Universidad de Chile's Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences will provide human capital and laboratories. The university and ZTE will sign a memorandum of understanding to expand the functions of the innovation center to include training for ZTE engineers and Universidad de Chile students.

Zeng Li, ZTE University president, said that the establishment of this innovation center with the Universidad de Chile is an important step forward for innovation in Latin America. They are honored and proud to partner with Chile's most prestigious university on this initiative.

The Chilean training center will meet the demand for knowledge services and provide customized expertise for ZTE's partners in Chile and neighboring countries, with a view to developing ZTE University in Latin America.
