Eaton Supports Education In Western China

Eaton China has donated CNY180,000 to Shanghai Normal University to support its education program in central and western China which aims to boost education in Yunnan and Guizhou.
Eaton China has donated more than CNY600,000 since it first granted aid to this program in 2005 with gifts of CNY200,000 and a HP9000 server.
The donation will be used for training teachers in middle and primary schools and for students of SHNU participating in medium- and short-term teaching programs in depressed areas.
Eaton China VP Zhou Tao said that Eaton has been concerning the development of its community, and with actively participating in and supporting China's public welfare. Education means much to development of central and western China. He added that Eaton is very delighted to work with Shanghai Normal University.
Shanghai Normal University is a college appointed to aid education in central and western China. Deputy headmaster of SHNU Lu Jianfei thanked Eaton for its continuous support to education and said that Eaton's donation will help SHNU become more committed to improve education levels of central and western China.
